
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police officers responded to a variety of incidents throughout the city on June 15, including reports of assault, shoplifting, identity fraud, vandalism, and a drug-related arrest.
One of the day’s most significant incidents occurred shortly before 10 p.m. when officers were alerted to a domestic violence situation involving a tan sedan traveling south on North Bridge Street. Police located the vehicle and conducted an investigation that resulted in an arrest. Charges included possession of Schedule I or II drugs and driving under suspension, according to the department’s daily media report.
Earlier in the day, officers responded to Lowe’s on North Bridge Street at approximately 9:45 a.m. after receiving a report of shoplifting. The theft investigation remains ongoing.
At 9:34 a.m., police were dispatched to the Ross County Law Enforcement Complex on East Seventh Street regarding a disorderly conduct complaint. The investigation is pending.
Officers were called to Instant Auto Sale, 1555 North Bridge Street, at 2:02 p.m. in response to a disorderly conduct and criminal trespass complaint. The matter remains under investigation.
At 3:32 p.m., police responded to a theft complaint at 777 E. Main Street and opened an identity fraud investigation. The case remains active.
Another theft report was received at 4:23 p.m. from Game On, located at 603 Central Center. Officers investigated the incident as a shoplifting complaint, and the investigation continues.
Police also responded to a reported protection order violation at a residence on East Water Street at approximately 4:23 p.m. The incident was documented as disorderly conduct and remains under investigation.
At 4:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to East Fourth Street for a crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
An assault complaint was reported at 5:48 p.m. on Diehl Street. Officers responded and opened an investigation into the incident.
Shortly afterward, police were called to Madison Avenue in response to a vandalism complaint. A report was taken for criminal mischief.
Officers also investigated a 911 hang-up call on Maderia Avenue at approximately 7:41 p.m. The matter remains under review.
In total, the Chillicothe Police Department documented 12 incidents on June 15, with several investigations continuing.
