Stolen Trailer Recovered in Bainbridge, Suspect Apprehended

Bainbridge, Ohio – A stolen trailer was recovered by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on April 7, 2024, following a report of motor vehicle theft earlier in the day.

Law enforcement officials responded to the 600 block of Central Center after receiving reports of a stolen trailer belonging to Weewash Power Washing.The owner of Weewash Power Washing, reported that one of their trailers was missing from the parking lot. He informed authorities that the trailer contained approximately $30,000 worth of tools.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the stolen trailer was a 2018 white box trailer with an Ohio Registration Plate of TTB5185, contrary to the initially provided information. Law enforcement promptly entered the correct trailer information into LEADS as stolen.

Later in the morning, a tip was received indicating that the stolen trailer was located at 540 Harris Station Rd in Bainbridge. Deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded to the tip and successfully located the trailer at the specified address. The trailer was subsequently released to the rightful owner.

Additionally, Drake Johnson was charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the incident. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office report, identified as SO-P2401635, contains further details regarding Johnson’s involvement.
