Breaking: Tied Down with Zip Ties and Beaten for Hours, Three Arrested for Kidnapping and Assault in Scioto County

Sheriff David Thoroughman stated that one of his detectives received a call at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, stating that there was a man walking on State Route 140, around the 5-mile marker, that appeared to have been beaten up and was covered in blood.
Deputies were dispatched to the area where they came in contact with a male. The male reported that he, along with another male, had been taken to a house located at 37 Ainsley Ave. in Wheelersburg. The male stated that both of them were tied down with zip ties, which prevented them from leaving or moving. The male stated that several people beat on them, using their fist and kicking them. They were also stuck with a weapon. The male was transported, by ambulance, to the Southern Ohio Medical Center (S.O.M.C.) for treatment.
Detectives continued their investigation with the victim at S.O.M.C while deputies responded to an address on Martin Road in Wheelersburg, to speak with the second victim. The second victim claimed that he was also held in the house and beaten for hours. EMS responded and transported the second victim to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment.
Sheriff Thoroughman stated that detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence located at 37 Ainsley Ave, Wheelersburg. A search was made of the residence and detectives processed the crime scene, resulting in several items being collected as evidence. During the search of the residence two suspects showed up and they were detained without incident. A third suspect was observed driving onto Ainsley Ave. when he was stopped and detained without incident.
Both victims were taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment. At the time of the report, one victim was transferred to a Columbus trauma center, while the other victim was being treated at Southern Ohio Medical Center with the possibility of being shipped to a trauma center in Columbus.
Arrested was Kaleb M. Dixon, age 23, of 37 Ainsley Ave, Wheelersburg, Ohio. Dixon has been charged with two counts of Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree, two counts of Kidnapping, a felony of the 1st degree, Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the 3rd degree, and a Parole Violation. Dixon is currently being held without bond.
Cameron L. Dixon, age 18, of 1952 Sheila Blvd., Portsmouth, has been charged with two counts of Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree, 2 counts of Kidnapping, a felony of the 1st degree, and Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the 3rd degree. Cameron Dixon is being held on a $225,000 bond.
Christian Cheyenne Brooks, age 25, of 4308 5th Ave., New Boston, has been charged with 2 counts of Complicity to Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree, and two counts of Complicity to Kidnapping, a felony of the 1st degree. Brooks is currently being held on a $200,000 bond.
