Teays Valley Continues with Undefeated Season Vs Madison Bowling

Boys VarsityTeays Valley – 2357Groveport – 1875

The Vikings Bowling team continued their undefeated season on Friday, defeating Groveport Madison 2357-1875. Lukas Dunbar was the match medalist with a 491 series. With the victory, the Vikings are now 11-0 overall, 9-0 in COHSBC play, and 4-0 in OCC-Buckeye play. 

The Vikings opened with a 985 series to take a 195-pin lead to start the match. A strong 1020 Game 2 extended the lead to over 400 going into Baker games. 

The Vikings will return to the lanes on Saturday, January 14 for the Central District Preview. The team will then face off with Newark for an OCC-Buckeye match on Tuesday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

Girls VarsityTeays Valley – 1426Groveport – 1556

The Lady Vikings Bowling team was unable to overcome some spare shots and fell to Groveport Madison on Friday. Nikia Thomas from Groveport Madison was the match medalist with an incredible 335 series. The Lady Vikings fall to 4-7 overall, 3-6 in COHSBC play, and 2-2 in OCC-Buckeye play. 

The Lady Vikings will return to the lanes on Saturday at the Central District Preview at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. The team then returns in action at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl on Tuesday for another OCC-Buckeye contest against Newark.

Junior VarsityTeays Valley – 1864Groveport – 1170

The Boys Junior Varsity team continued its dominating season on Friday with an 1864-1170 victory over Groveport Madison. Sam Thompson was the match medalist with a 361 series. With the victory, the Vikings moved to 9-1 overall on the season. The Vikings are 8-1 in COHSBC play, and 3-1 in OCC-Buckeye play. 

The Vikings had a slower-than-usual start, shooting a 770 in Game 1. After making some key adjustments, the boys upped Game 2 to a 798. 

The Cruisers were playing short-handed this evening, having 4 JV Boys in competition play. 

The Vikings Junior Varsity squads have a huge five-day stretch that started tonight, with the Central District Preview on Saturday. The JV team then plays on Monday at the Jaguar JV tournament, and then on Tuesday against Newark. The JV Boys will then enjoy some time off before getting back to work on Friday.

Teays Valley Boys JV-B vs. Teays Valley Girls JV Intrasquad

The Boys JV-B team & Girls JV team prepared for their long weekend this evening. Both teams will be competing in the Central District Preview and at the Jaguar JV Tournament. 

Kingston Williams had a huge evening, shooting a 154 game, then a 160 game. Both games were his personal best.
