CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A Circleville woman who was recently released from jail on bond finds herself back behind bars following a brief vehicle pursuit with local law enforcement Thursday morning.
Fifty-one-year-old Nicole Leasure was taken into custody on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after allegedly attempting to elude police.
Thursday Morning Pursuit
According to the Circleville Police Department, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Ford Flex around 10:00 AM in the area of Court Street. Rather than pulling over, the driver—identified as Leasure—refused to comply and took off down Logan Street.
The vehicle pursuit was brief, terminating when the Ford Flex came to a stop in a grassy area. Officers quickly secured the vehicle and took Leasure into custody without further incident. She was transported to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Jail and booked on a new charge of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
Recent Legal Trouble
Thursday’s arrest comes on the heels of a separate run-in with local law enforcement earlier in the week. Leasure had only recently been bailed out of jail following an arrest for breaking and entering, possession of drugs (Schedules III and IV), and possession of criminal tools.
Because the latest eluding incident occurred while she was out on bond for those felony charges, Leasure is expected to be held without bond pending her upcoming court appearance.
