Sharon Kay (Lunsford) Bowling died peacefully in her home June 28, 2023. During her short illness she was surrounded and cared for by all of her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. Sharon was born October 4, 1944 to the late Orville and Regina (Bowman) Lunsford. She married Burl Bowling (AKA Circleville Santa) on September 5, 1964. They were married 54 years. She is survived by her daughters; Lori (Bowling) (Jim) McClarren, Tami (Bowling) Dean, Tracey (Bowling) (Mark) Sandy, Tabby (Bowling) (Fred) Dennis and by her son Mike S. Bowling; grandkids Tosha (Andy) Shupe, Zackary (Angel) Bowling, Robert (Alisha) McCain, Jimmy McClarren, Taylor Emerine, Brittanny (Allen) Rutter, Mattie Hoffman, Molly (Greg) Haug, Patrick McConahay, Timothy (Kirsten) McClarren, Mackie (Shane) James, Michael (Marikka) Dean, Savannah (Freddy) Dean and Joshua Sandy. She also has 17 great grandchildren; sisters Arvella (Daryle) Ault and Janet Page; special friends Carol Ison, Patty Lowery and the late and great Dick Greeno and all of her friends from G.E. that she worked with for over 30 years. Our mom loved to cook expecially for family. She loved taking family vacations. She loved when her family came together and her grandkids would play music and sing. She loved going to bingo and casino’s with her best friend Carol. One of her greatest experiences was being a contestant on Cash Explosion. She loved her flowers and taking long drives. She loved going out to eat with family. She is proceeded in death by her husband Burl R. Bowling; parents Orville and Regina (Bowman) Lunsford and her siblings Dean, Steve, Doug, Barbara Eldridge and Nancy Vanhoose. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11-1.
