There were many informative presentations made at the February 26th meeting of Scioto Sassafras 4-H club.  The club welcomed two guest speakers.  The first was a health speaker named Karen LeBlanc who spoke about the importance of wearing helmets during outdoor activities.  The second speaker, Chris Pence from the Pickaway County Sr. Fair Board, spoke about the remodeling of the fairgrounds.  There were also several member demonstrations.  The first was about the parts of a clarinet demonstrated by Stacey Goldsmith.  Eva Merritt spoke about lots of different art mediums.  Saige Goldsmith demonstrated the parts of a rabbit. Grant Goldsmith talked about the parts of a guitar and Sarah Goldsmith demonstrated how to show your dog at the fair.  Our last demonstration was by Patrick Goldsmith who spoke about chainsaw safety.  After that, the club discussed future community service activities and club tours.  At the end of the meeting, members received their club t-shirts and the cloverbuds shared their snowman craft.  Snack was provided by members.  The next Scioto Sassafras club meeting will be held Monday March 19th at 7pm in the Scioto Elementary School cafeteria.
