Ross County Sheriff Reports Over a 200% Increase in Stolen Vehicles in September

ROSS – Ross County sheriff’s department has reported an upswing in stolen vehicles last month.

According to reports from Ross County Sheriffs department 13 vehicles were stolen in the month of September this above average for the county.

The County posted a list of the current stolen cars in the county in September:

Total for the year Ross County has handled 54 reports of stolen vehicles so far this year. In August the department handled 7, so almost half of the stolen cars in 2021 in Ross County have happened in the last two months.

In October the department has already reported one stolen vehicle a 2005 Lincoln Town Car Tan on 10/04/21
