Rev. Everett L. Johnson, 64, of Washington Court House, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the Doctors West Hospital in Columbus.

Born Jan. 15, 1951, in Matewan, West Virginia, to the late Ernest and Julia (Davis) Johnson, he had served as a Pastor for over 18 years.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Leslie “Kay” (Pitts) Johnson; children, Chad Everett Johnson of Washington Court House and Jeremy Clay (Danielle) Johnson of Grove City; grandchildren, Dalton, Dusti, Alana, Aubrey, Keagon, Harley and Addi; mother-in-law, Monna Pitts of Mt. Jolliet, Tennessee; brothers, Ernest L. (Ruth) Johnson, Gary I. (Carolyn) Johnson, Randall D. Johnson, Joseph E. (Lori) Johnson and Samuel A. (Suzie) Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dave and Ronda Pitts of Mt. Jolliett, Tennessee, Gary and Rosie Garrett of Panama City, Florida, Jan Pitts of Galloway and Richard Johnston of Clarksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eleanor Cotton, Daniel T. Johnson and Raymond D. Johnson; brothers-in-law, Russell C. Pitts and Rayford W. Cotton; father-in-law, Omar Pitts; and sisters-in-law, Eunice Johnson and Brenda L. Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Apostolic Gospel Church, 15770 U.S. Route 62 SE, Mt. Sterling. Burial will follow at Highlawn Cemetery in Washington Court House. Visitations will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Summers Funeral Home of Washington Court House, and Friday, June 19, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home.
