CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A local woman faces multiple criminal charges following what police describe as a jealousy-fueled dispute that left her neighbor’s home damaged and a security camera stolen Monday morning.
Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a home at 295 Old Eastern Ave. at approximately 12:24 p.m. on August 24, 2026, following a report of a trespass and property damage.
Upon arrival, officers found the empty mount of a stolen Ring door camera on the exterior wall alongside a shattered front window, with a large stone lying inside the living area.
Relationship Dispute Escalates to Threats and Vandalism
The homeowner, met with police at the Law Enforcement Complex after returning from an out-of-town trip. She informed investigators that her neighbor, identified as Mackenzie Daniels, targeted her home out of jealousy regarding alleged communications between Muirhead and Daniels’ boyfriend.

According to police reports, the conflict began around 9:11 a.m. when Daniels sent a barrage of hostile text messages threatening physical harm.
By 9:20 a.m., Her Ring camera captured footage of an enraged Daniels shouting on the front porch. The video showed a large stone on the porch steps just before Daniels forcefully ripped the camera off its mount, severing the connection.
