Dear Editor:
I want to express a serious need for change in the Clerk of Courts office.
Over the past 13 years under the current office holder, some services of the office have been diminished or done away with altogether. Jury duty reporting is handled in an unprofessional manner, and the clerk seems aloof to the office operations.
During my recent tenure of jury duty, the clerk was observed sleeping during court several times over the three-day period, which is said to be a common occurrence.
I urge voters to support candidate Thomas Clark Zwayer. I have known Tom since he began working for the Circleville Police Department in 1983. Tom went on to work for the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ohio Clerk of Courts.
Tom has well over 30 years of public service experience, and he will bring efficiency and professionalism back to the Clerk of Courts office.
