BROWN COUNTY — A local physician is behind bars facing multiple felony charges following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct during medical examinations, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 27, 2026, sheriff’s deputies arrested Dr. Ali Ghasemzadeh and transported him to the Brown County Adult Detention Center. He has been formally charged with rape, sexual battery, and gross sexual imposition.
Investigators state that the case is active and ongoing. Based on evidence gathered thus far, detectives believe there is a strong possibility that additional patients may have been targeted. Authorities are urging anyone who experienced inappropriate, unwanted, or unexplained sexual contact during medical treatment with Dr. Ghasemzadeh to step forward.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that victims are encouraged to report incidents regardless of how much time has elapsed.
