WAVERLY – A police chase ended in a crash that arrested a 16 year old boy.
According to the Waverly Police department on November 11, 2021, at 10:19 pm the department attempted to stop a vehicle on East Emmitt Ave for Improper registration on the vehicle, when lights and sirens were initiated the vehicle took off. The chase left Waverly on US-23 Northbound towards Ross County then the driver lost control around the 800 block of Howard road where he wrecked.
The driver was identified as a 16-year-old boy and the passenger was Olivia Start who had outstanding warrants and was arrested. The male was transported to local hospitals than to Ross County Juvenile Detention Center.
The juvenile male will be charged with several crimes.
