Joann Garrett, 79 of Laurelville, passed away May 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born on July 5, 1938 in Circleville to the late Ernest and Lottie (Whaley) Reed. She was a devoted mother and wife. She retired from Pickaway Manor in Circleville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Eugene Garrett; sister, Hazel (Reed) Dolinger and several aunts and uncles. Joann is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Fred) Stewart; son, Wayne “Buddy” (Sherry Pettit) Unger; grandchildren, Candace, Mallory and Nicholas; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Harold “Bub” (Mary) Reed, Elmer Reed and Charles “Toot” (Connie) Reed all of Circleville; sisters, Barbara (Gary) Brown of Circleville, Rita “Bootsie” ( Mike) Keenan of Reynoldsburg. A special thank you to her friend May Stevens. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday May 10, 2018 at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Gibisonville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery.
