Night-shift and evening crews bookended the day with responses to significant criminal complaints:
- Gabe’s Department Store Fight: Late Thursday night at 11:02 p.m., officers rushed to the Gabe’s retail location on North Bridge Street following reports of an active fight. The incident resulted in an ongoing investigation into charges of assault and aggravated menacing.
- Stolen Motor Vehicle: Early in the morning at 4:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East 7th Street to investigate a reported vehicle theft.
Multiple Instances of Vehicle Damage and Vandalism

- At 6:20 a.m., officers responded to a vandalism complaint in the 100 block of East 2nd Street.
- Shortly after, at 8:42 a.m., a separate call was made from the 90 block of East 2nd Street regarding a vehicle that had been damaged and subjected to larceny by threat.

- Later in the afternoon, at 2:59 p.m., a resident in the 100 block of Caldwell Street filed an official criminal mischief complaint regarding property damage.
Shoplifting Summons and Warrant Adjustments
Officers executed multiple warrants and handled retail theft assignments throughout the afternoon and evening:

- Medical Release on Warrant: At 6:28 p.m., a patrolling officer spotted Michael Bliss riding as a passenger in a vehicle pulling into a driveway on North Sugar Street. Knowing Bliss had an active failure-to-appear warrant, the officer initiated contact.
