CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department managed a high volume of community calls over a 24-hour period on Thursday, June 4, 2026, handling 60 total incidents. The department’s daily dispatch log was highlighted by a late-night robbery investigation, a hazardous spill response, and multiple domestic disturbances.
Late-Night Robbery and Active Investigations
Officers rushed to East Main Street late Thursday night following reports of a robbery at 10:21 p.m. Units arrived on the scene and filed a formal criminal report.
The department also initiated several other notable investigations throughout the day:
- Hazardous Spill: Emergency crews were dispatched to Island Road at 1:56 p.m. to handle a hazardous spill, which required an official police report.
- Warrant and Fraud Cases: Officers filed a report regarding an outstanding warrant on Hayward Avenue at 9:25 p.m. Earlier in the day, at 11:12 a.m., a fraud complaint was documented on South Pickaway Street.
- Threats and Property Damage: A threats and harassment report was taken on Kingston Pike at 9:50 a.m. Additionally, a traffic citation was issued on North Court Street at 9:32 a.m. after an incident resulted in property damage.
Domestic Trouble and Neighborhood Disputes
Family and neighborhood disputes required a police presence at multiple intervals:
- Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a domestic trouble call on East Ohio Street at 8:22 a.m., which resulted in a formal report. Police were called back to another domestic dispute on the same street at 10:23 a.m., though that second call was successfully cleared without a report.
- Juvenile Complaints: Youth complaints kept officers actively scanning local neighborhoods. Officers took a formal report following an issue on Morris Road at 6:10 p.m. Similar juvenile complaints on North Court Street and Villa Drive were handled later in the evening.
- Trespassing Escort: At 1:06 p.m., police responded to a trespassing complaint on Stella Avenue, safely completing a civil escort.
Infrastructure Issues and Traffic Enforcement
Local infrastructure issues popped up in the early afternoon when dispatchers received a report of downed utility lines and a pole on Mowrer Road at 1:23 p.m. No report was required as utility crews were notified.
Traffic safety and parking enforcement accounted for a significant portion of the day’s 60 records. Officers issued citations for a traffic stop on South Court Street at 2:29 a.m. and a parking violation on Mowrer Road at 3:33 p.m. The department also conducted ten separate traffic stops that concluded with verbal warnings, and actively searched for reported “hotrodders” on North Pickaway Street and Georgia Road during the evening hours.
The remainder of the shift was filled with proactive extra patrols, property releases, and routine well-being checks across the city.
