WASHINGTON — The Trump administration has launched Arcade.Gov, a new official website featuring a suite of retro-style minigames focused on key administration policies, including border enforcement, deregulation, and cryptocurrency.
The site, which debuted Friday morning, reimagines classic arcade titles with political themes:
- Rio Run: A variation of the classic game Snake, where players maneuver a suited figure along a riverbank to apprehend individuals in orange jumpsuits, ending with a tally of total deportations.
- Build the Wall: Zombie Border Siege: A Tetris-inspired game where players stack blocks along the southern border while dealing with obstacles.
- Flappy Bill: A parody of Flappy Bird where players navigate legislation through the U.S. Capitol.
- Supply Line: A fast-paced sorting game focused on school lunch nutrition, requiring players to clear junk food off an assembly line.
- Trump Savings Tycoon: A catching game set against a Washington, D.C. skyline where players collect falling bank notes and memecoins.
Promotional material for the portal on social media parodies nostalgia-heavy console startup screens from the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and GameCube, alongside a “MAGA” stylized logo referencing Sega.
The digital campaign aligns with the White House’s ongoing strategy of utilizing internet culture and gaming references to promote policy goals. In response to past commentary regarding the administration’s aggressive social media tactics, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson defended the approach, stating, “Through engaging posts and banger memes, we are successfully communicating the president’s extremely popular agenda. There’s a reason so many people try to copy our style — our message resonates.”
