FAIRFIELD – Fairfield top incidents of last week

Nov. 4, 2019
*injury accident, 1345 Coonpath Rd. Vehicle into a pole. Driver was transported to a medical facility.
*Larceny, 8300 Meijer Dr Canal, report for theft at Meijer that occurred day before.
*Assist other unit, Canal Winchester, Reference to assisting with Medic on possible medical issues, forced entry was made into the residence and homeowner was having a medical emergency.
*Larceny, Hamburg Rd, Identity Theft
*Units also assisted OSP on North Bank Rd, after a vehicle pursuit that turned into a foot pursuit.
*Hit skip, Mauger, Refugee Rd, Semi hit a stop sign and tore the sign out of the ground and left.
*Larceny, Tarkiln Rd, Caller advised SSN benefit card was taken and used, also clothes and dog were missing.
*Larceny, Baltimore-Somerset Rd, Caller advised someone had wrote a check and cashed it for over $5000.00. Possible known suspect.
*Larceny, Hill Rd, Caller advised someone opened a sprint cell phone account in the caller’s name.
*Units responded to a possible burglary in progress. The suspect was located walking down Sheridan Dr, upon investigation it was found that the suspect was confronting a female at the house about personal issues. The female was hiding in the house and units found out the female had multiple warrants for her arrest. The female was located and arrested; the male suspect was transported back to his house in Lancaster due to no evidence of a crime being committed.

*D.O.A. Columbus-Lancaster Rd. Elderly Male found deceased (coroner signed off)
Nov. 6, 2019
*Deer Accident, Lancaster-Thornville Rd., Single vehicle into a deer.
*Narcotics/Attempted Theft, Meijer in Canal Winchester – Female was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia (needle) and attempting to walk out locked doors with a cart full of items. She was taken to our jail facility. Her boyfriend returned to Meijer to pick her up and was found to have a warrant. He was taken to our jail facility as well for his warrant.
*Deer Accident, Lancaster-New Lexington Rd./Marietta Rd., Single vehicle into a deer.
Nov. 7, 2019
*Injury Accident, 9930 Lancaster-Circleville Rd., Single vehicle roll over into a corn field. Minor injuries.
*Narcotics, Lincoln Ave./Boving Rd., Deputy conducted a traffic stop and located narcotics as well as what was thought to be a gun on the side of the driver’s seat. After further investigation, it was determined to be some sort of flare gun. A male occupant was arrested on a warrant out of Pickaway county (and will have additional charges from our office)
Nov. 8, 2019
*Narcotics, Lancaster-New Lexington Rd./Thomas Rd., Deputy conducted a traffic stop and located an occupant with a warrant out of Hocking and Athens county. He located narcotics on another occupant of the vehicle as well (he was released with charges being filed). The occupant with the warrant was turned over to the custody of Hocking County.
*Theft, Redwood Dr., Victim states his medication was taken and needed a report.
*Theft, Meijer, Lancaster, 2 black males entered the store and took 3 calculators and exited the store without paying. They got in a vehicle and left, west towards Columbus. The Deputy was able to locate the vehicle and make a traffic stop. Calculators recovered as well as narcotics and paraphernalia.
*Burglary, Purvis Ave., Caller states that someone came into her residence and stole cash.
*Theft., Savage Hill Rd., Caller states his medication was taken.
*Theft., Stemen Rd., Caller states his K9 was taken. Siberian Husky.
*Shoplifting arrest in CW.
Nov. 9, 2019
*Information Report, Refugee Rd., Deputy located a safe that appeared to have been busted off some type of tile surface and busted open. There are no known reports at the time that has a safe that was stolen. The Deputy collected it and placed it in evidence for “safe” keeping.
*Deer Crash, Logan-Lancaster Rd./Sharp Rd., Single vehicle into a deer
*Accident, 2 vehicles, Gender Rd. Unit1 driver was arrested for OMVI
*Accident, single vehicle, 501 W. Waterloo St., a light pole was damaged. CW Street Dept. was notified
Nov. 10, 2019
*Deer Crash, 6445 Refugee Rd., Single vehicle into a deer
*Larceny, 2900 Columbus-Lancaster Rd, Theft from Meijer.
*Bad Checks, 950 Baltimore-Somerset Rd, Caller advised that he was attempting to purchase items at Circle K and was advised his $10 bill was counterfeit.
*Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Pearl St, Muskingum Co called and requested to go to this address to check out a possible stolen camping trailer. Units arrived and confirmed the camping trailer was on the property and stolen. Units located a male suspect, and a female suspect inside the camper, and the male was found to have a warrant. Units continued to investigate the situation and units were advised that a red truck was the vehicle that male used to pull the camper on the property. When investigating the truck units noticed the ignition column had been tampered with, and the license plate on the truck did not match up. Units made contact with the owner and confirmed the truck was stolen. The male suspect was arrested on the warrant and a charge packet with be reviewed with the prosecutor’s office.
