Circleville Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Over the Weekend

Between September 27 and 29, 2024, the Circleville Police Department handled a variety of incidents, according to their latest report. Officers responded to numerous calls ranging from routine checks to more serious situations involving threats, property damage, and domestic disturbances.

On September 27, police were called to N. Court St. for an extra patrol shortly after midnight, which was found to be clear. Later that night, threats were reported on S. Washington St., where officers took a report. Early that morning, a disturbance on Dunmore Rd. also resulted in a report being filed. Throughout the day, police dealt with multiple 911 hang-up calls, suspicious vehicles, and several instances of downed power lines across town, all of which were checked and deemed safe.

Traffic issues were also prominent, with roadblocks reported on Kingston Pike and S. Court St., though no hazards were found. Property damage incidents were reported on Sunnyview Dr. and E. Franklin St., and a fight on S. Court St. was reported but no suspects were located upon the officers’ arrival.

On September 28, officers responded to a domestic disturbance on E. Main St. in the morning, which required a report to be taken. In addition, a stolen vehicle was reported from Town St., followed by a theft later in the day on S. Court St. Several alarms were triggered at various locations but were found to be false. Officers also issued traffic warnings throughout the day during routine stops.

A report of a stolen vehicle on SR 56 was one of the major incidents on September 29. That same day, officers dealt with a theft on US 23, unruly juveniles on Maplewood Ave., and a trespassing arrest on S. Court St. Officers also responded to multiple well-being checks, property damage calls, and civil matters.

In total, 142 records were logged over the three-day period. While many incidents were cleared or found to be false alarms, Circleville Police remain vigilant as they address a range of community safety issues.
