Circleville Police Respond to Assault, Injury Crash, Property Damage and Multiple Disturbances

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville Police handled 27 calls for service on June 17, ranging from assaults and traffic incidents to disturbances, theft complaints, and harassment reports.

Among the most significant incidents of the day was an assault reported on Huston Street shortly before 10 a.m. Officers responded to the scene and took a report. Additional details on the incident were not immediately available.

Police also investigated a property damage complaint on South Court Street around 11 a.m., resulting in a report being filed.

Later in the afternoon, officers responded to an injury crash on Hayward Street at approximately 4:15 p.m. A citation was issued in connection with the accident.

Several reports involving threats and harassment were also documented throughout the day. Officers responded to a complaint on East Main Street during the afternoon, which was checked and found to be okay. A second harassment complaint on East Franklin Street later in the evening resulted in a formal report being taken.

Traffic enforcement remained active throughout the day, with officers issuing both warnings and citations during multiple traffic stops. A citation was issued following a traffic stop on East Franklin Street just before noon, while several other motorists received warnings during evening stops on Watt Street and North Court Street.

Police also received reports of a suspected drunk driver on North Pickaway Street shortly after midnight, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Other incidents included a theft complaint on Second Avenue, a trespassing call on Parklawn Drive, several noise complaints on West Mound Street, a suspicious vehicle investigation, a parking complaint, and a reported burglary on U.S. Route 23. No report was taken in the burglary complaint.

Additional calls included alarm drops, a fire department complaint, a traffic jam report, civil disputes, disturbances, and extra patrol requests.

In total, Circleville Police responded to 27 incidents during the 24-hour reporting period.
