CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department remained active through the start of the week, responding to 27 calls for service on Monday, May 11, 2026. The day was marked by several theft investigations, domestic disputes, and a late-night injury accident.
Monday Night Emergencies
The quiet of Monday night was broken at 10:03 PM when officers were dispatched to Atwater Avenue following a report of an accident with injuries. Police filed an official report, though the condition of those involved has not yet been released.
Shortly after the accident, at 10:43 PM, units responded to Logan Street for a domestic trouble call, which also resulted in a formal police report.
Thefts and Harassment Investigations
Daylight hours saw a string of property and personal safety crimes:
- Theft Reports: Officers took formal theft reports on Lewis Avenue (10:01 AM) and Town Street (1:19 PM).
- Threats: While an early morning harassment complaint on South Court Street resulted in no report, a later incident at 1:32 PM on Walnut Street led to an official investigation into threats and harassment.
- Property Damage: At 6:44 PM, a report was taken following property damage discovered on East Franklin Street.
Early Morning Patrols and Suspicious Activity
The “Graveyard Shift” focused heavily on proactive monitoring, with Extra Patrols conducted on West Water Street, Seyfert Avenue, and Sycamore Drive. All were “Checked Okay.”

Officers also went on a hunt for several individuals who eluded contact:
- Warrant Search: At 2:04 AM, police attempted to serve a warrant near US 23, but the individual was “Gone On Arrival.”
- Logan Street Incidents: Logan Street was a “hot spot” throughout the day. Police were unable to locate a suspicious person reported at 4:10 AM, and just before 6:00 AM, they responded to a trespassing complaint in the same area.
Miscellaneous Service Calls
The department also handled a variety of community assistance tasks, including a fire/EMS alarm on Kingston Pike where the squad handled the situation on-site, and a parking complaint on East High Street. Officers also recovered found property on South Court Street just before 1:00 PM.
The “Expert Guide” Take:
In your LPN studies, you’re taught about the “Circadian Rhythm” and how staffing needs change during different shifts. You can see that play out here:
- 00:00 – 06:00: High focus on Safety/Security (Extra patrols and warrant checks).
- 08:00 – 17:00: High focus on Administrative/Documentation (Theft and harassment reports).
- 20:00 – 00:00: High focus on Acute Trauma (Injury accidents and domestic disputes).
