Circleville Man Indicted for Trafficking Charges from 2021

Circleville – A man has been arrested after the law caught up with him and a warrant arrested, now he has been indicted on several charges from 2021.

A simple traffic stop started the ball rolling on 8/20/21 when the Circleville Police department stopped a black SUV in the area of 206 Cedar Heights the driver of the car Ashless Webb was known to not have a driver’s license, and during the stop that was confirmed through dispatch. The passenger was Ethan Atkinson. During the investigation, police were able to search the car after K9 Serg detected drugs inside.

During the search, police found a long list of drugs, a stolen credit card, and some stolen items.

  1. Three (3) knotted plastic bags each containing white crystalline material -11.53 g +/- 0.04
    g – found to contain Methamphetamine. Determined using chemical testing and
    instrumental analysis.
  2. One (1) folded piece of aluminum foil containing pink powder; and two (2) knotted plastic
    bags each containing pink powder – 0.51 g +/- 0.04 g – found to contain Fentanyl.
    Determined using chemical testing and instrumental analysis.
  3. White powder -1.30 g +/- 0.04 g – found to contain:
    Flualprazolam (8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-
    a][1,4]benzodiazepine), which meets the structural requirements for the
    benzodiazepine pharmacophore,
    Para-fluorofentanyl (N-(4-fluorophenyl)-N-[1-(2-phenethyl)-4-
    piperidinyl]propanamide)
    Fentanyl
  4. Tramadol
    Determined using chemical testing and instrumental analysis.
  5. White powder – less than 0.10 g – found to contain:
    Flualprazolam (8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1 -methyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-
    a][1,4]benzodiazepine), which meets the structural requirements for the
    benzodiazepine pharmacophore
    Para-fluorofentanyl (N-(4-fluorophenyl)-N-[1-(2-phenethyl)-4-
    piperidinyl]propanamide)
    Fentanyl
    Tramadol
    Determined using chemical testing and instrumental analysis.
    5.1. Two (2) orange round tablets with markings: “970” – (Referenced Strength: 8 mg / 2 mg) –
    tested one (1) – 0.42 g +/- 0.04 g – found to contain Buprenorphine. Determined using logo
    identification and instrumental analysis.
    5.2. Two (2) partial orange tablet fragments with markings: “54” – Not tested.
  6. Five (5) yellow gel capsules with markings: “IG322 300 mg” – (Referenced Strength: 300
    mg) – Markings indicate Gabapentin, which is a non-controlled substance. Not confirmed.
    Determined using logo identification.

In 2021 COVID restrictions allowed for individuals to be released and not taken to prison as a precaution to stop the spread. Atkinson was released on an OR bond for a court date of 8/23/21. The case was bound over to an Indictment where he was summoned on 4/22 but he did not show up, a warrant for his arrest was issued, and he was finally arrested and now faces charges of Agg Trafficking in Drugs, Agg Possession of Drugs, Trafficking in Fentanyl, Possession of Fentanyl.

He will now be held until court.
