Chillicothe Police Respond to Disorderly Complaints, Missing Person Report, Drug Investigation and More

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a variety of calls on June 18, including disorderly conduct complaints, a missing person report, a death investigation, a drug trafficking case, and a runaway juvenile.

Officers were first dispatched shortly after 1 a.m. to the 1200 block of North Bridge Street in response to a disorderly conduct complaint.

Later in the morning, police took a report regarding another disorderly conduct incident that allegedly occurred on West Fifth Street. According to authorities, no criminal charges had been filed as of the report.

At approximately 11:25 a.m., officers responded to West Fifth Street after receiving a report of a male subject threatening suicide. The incident was classified as non-criminal.

Police also responded to Ervin Avenue for a reported trespassing complaint. The matter remains under investigation.

Shortly after 1 p.m., officers were called to Park Street regarding a missing person report. The investigation remains ongoing.

A death investigation was opened around 1:17 p.m. after police were dispatched to a residence on South Bowman Road for a report of a possibly deceased male. Authorities classified the incident as a non-suspicious death.

In the afternoon, a Chillicothe Police detective initiated an investigation into alleged drug trafficking activity within the city. Limited details were released, and the investigation remains active.

Additional calls included a trespassing complaint reported to the Law Enforcement Complex, a crash involving a driver under suspension, and a hit-skip investigation reported on East Seventh Street. Both traffic-related investigations remain ongoing.

At approximately 8:34 p.m., an officer conducting patrols on Norfolk Southern railroad property near South Sugar Street made contact with an individual, resulting in a criminal trespass investigation.

The final notable call of the day occurred around 10:11 p.m. when officers responded to Mill Street regarding a runaway juvenile. The incident was classified as an unruly juvenile offense.

In total, the Chillicothe Police Department logged 13 reports and investigations throughout June 18.
