Nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and photography aficionados, rejoice! The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Parks and Watercraft beckons you to participate in a captivating competition – the 2024 Ohio State Parks Photo Contest.
This exciting event offers a platform to showcase your love for Ohio’s breathtaking state parks through the captivating medium of photography. Whether you capture heartwarming moments with loved ones amidst stunning scenery, unveil the hidden wonders of the park’s wildlife, or simply encapsulate the park’s inherent beauty, the contest welcomes you to share your unique perspective.

The contest boasts five distinct categories, each designed to spark your creative spirit:
- Parks and People: Capture the joy of connecting with loved ones amidst the splendor of the parks.
- Wildlife Wonders: Showcase the captivating creatures that call these parks home.
- Adventurers Unbound: Document your exhilarating outdoor adventures within the parks.
- Scenic Landscapes: Unveil the breathtaking vistas and natural beauty that define these landscapes.
- Historic Horizons: In honor of Ohio State Parks’ 75th anniversary, delve into the parks’ rich history through captivating imagery (Photos in this category can be taken any time).
Participation in the Ohio State Parks Photo Contest is entirely free. Entrants are allowed to submit up to five photographs, with a maximum of one entry per category. All submitted photos must have been captured on or after January 1, 2023.
