Chillicothe Police Log: Thefts, Domestic Violence, and Traffic Violations Reported Friday

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media log for Friday, September 12, 2025, documenting a range of calls that included thefts, domestic violence, criminal mischief, and multiple traffic-related offenses across the city.

Suspicious Activity & Warrants
Around 2:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to the alley behind the Salvation Army on East 4th Street for reports of two suspicious individuals. A warrant was noted in the report.

Traffic Stops & Violations
Throughout the morning, officers issued citations for driving under suspension, speeding on Mill Street and Yoctangee Parkway, and failure to yield. Later in the day, additional traffic-related incidents were reported, including a crash on East Main Street and another on West Water Street involving failure to yield.

Property Damage & Theft Cases
At 10:20 a.m., an employee reported property damage on North Bridge Street, leading to a criminal mischief and trespass investigation. Officers also responded to several theft-related incidents:

  • Holiday Inn (East Main Street): Misuse of a credit card.
  • Jersey Mike’s (North Bridge Street): Report of a disorderly female with an open liquor container.
  • Rural King (North Bridge Street): Theft complaint, investigation ongoing.
  • Consumer Center Drive: Theft without consent.
  • North Bridge Street: Shoplifting and obstructing official business reported.

Domestic Violence & Child Endangerment
At 4:40 p.m., police were called to Texas Roadhouse on North Bridge Street for a domestic dispute that also involved child endangerment and trespassing. That investigation is ongoing.

Other Reports

  • A missing person report was filed from North Brownell Street around 8 p.m.
  • A hit-skip accident was reported at Kroger on Western Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

Chillicothe Police documented a total of 20 incidents for the day. Several cases remain under investigation.
