Pickaway County, Ohio — New developments have emerged in the criminal case connected to the April 2024 shooting at the Main Street Pub in Circleville, with prosecutors dismissing the original attempted murder charges against Jason Gullion and moving forward with revised charges.
Gullion appeared in court this week, where the state dismissed counts one through three of attempted murder. Prosecutors are now pursuing three counts of felonious assault, each classified as a second-degree felony (F-2), along with improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school safety zone, also a felony offense.
A future court date for Gullion will be scheduled as the case moves forward.
The charges stem from a shooting reported in the early morning hours of April 28, 2024, after the Main Street Pub closed following a busy Saturday night. Investigators said several shots were fired into the building during the incident.
Two men, Jason Gullion and Eric Lee Parker of Circleville, were identified as suspects. Gullion was initially accused of being the shooter and was charged with attempted murder, while Parker faced charges related to his alleged involvement.
Parker, who was not identified as the primary shooter, later reached a resolution in his case. Parker was found guilty of obstructing official business and was sentenced to the maximum penalty of 12 months in prison.
Authorities previously located Parker on May 2, 2024, after the United States Marshals Service Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), with assistance from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, found him in Morrow County. He was taken into custody and returned to Pickaway County.
Gullion’s case remains pending, with the state moving forward on the updated charges.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
