CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — August 3, 2025
The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a string of incidents across the city on Sunday, August 3, ranging from traffic violations and disorderly conduct to multiple thefts and two burglary cases.

The day began just after midnight with a traffic stop on East Main Street for a headlight violation, during which the driver of a blue 2007 Honda Civic was cited for failure to reinstate their license.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Chillicothe officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a DUI arrest on Western Avenue and West Water Street. At 4:15 a.m., officers were called to Consumer Center Drive for a domestic violence incident, while a separate call just an hour later on North Poplar Street involved a female reportedly yelling and throwing clothing into the street.

Throughout the morning and into the afternoon, police dealt with various non-criminal complaints, including a trespassing investigation at Dollar General on East Main Street and a disorderly conduct call on Cedar Street. An e-bike theft was reported on the 400 block of South McArthur Street around 9:15 a.m.

A missing person report was filed from the Law Complex on North Paint Street just after 2 p.m. Later, officers issued a citation for driving under suspension on East Main Street and responded to a crash involving a vehicle that failed to stay in marked lanes.

In the evening, officers were dispatched to several incidents of disorderly conduct, including one on Scioto Avenue and another involving a mental health transport from the intersection of East Main and North Poplar Streets. Two active warrants were served at the Ross County Jail.

Later in the evening, officers responded to a criminal trespassing call at the Kroger on North Bridge Street, followed by a theft report on East Water Street. A more serious call came in at 8:58 p.m. from Carlisle Place regarding an aggravated burglary. Less than two hours later, police were called to another burglary on Hirn Street.

Police say investigations into the thefts, trespassing, and burglaries are ongoing.
