CIRCLEVILLE – A ten year annual tradition that one of the local church says was created out of love.

Cornerstone Church says that ten years ago they started a tradition for people who sometimes did not get to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends. Several Adult Day DD Groups attended the event, PCS (Person Centered Services), Good Hands Pickaway County, PDI Pickaway Diversified, and Goodwill.

“This was built out of love, said Linda Chancey, some of these groups did not do anything for Thanksgiving and our church Cornerstone decided to change that. Cornerstone church supplies all the food, we cook it, prepare it, and serve it to these people.”

The church prepared 140 pounds of turkey this year with all the fixings, for the last two years OCU (Ohio Christian University) Choir has been providing the live music while everyone enjoys dinner.

“This started ten years ago and its been a ongoing thing to be able to give, play some things forward, and I think the true heart and soul of christianity is to give to those that can’t give back,” said William Pellum Pastor Cornerstone Church.
