CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe man with three outstanding warrants is facing additional charges after allegedly giving a false name to police officers during a late-night park contact on Wednesday. A warrant for Obstructing Official Business is being filed through Chillicothe Municipal Court for Tyler Estep following an investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department. Late-Night Park Contact
According to police incident reports, officers made contact with four individuals near the tennis courts in Yoctangee Park shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2026—after the park’s official closing hours. When questioned, the individuals stated they were simply hanging out and using the swings. Officers informed the group that the park is closed between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and requested identification from everyone present. Three of the individuals provided valid identification or personal details to officers: Andrew Bush (Driver’s License)
Kimberly Stevens (Driver’s License)
Daniel Sevy (Name, Date of Birth, and Social Security Number)
The fourth male, who kept his head down beneath a hat, struggled to locate his information, claiming he needed to check his phone. He eventually identified himself to officers as “Trevion Springer,” giving a matching date of birth. After checking the details and confirming the group had arranged a ride from Columbus, officers instructed them to leave the park and cleared the scene. Officer Recognizes Misrepresentation
The deception was uncovered a short time later by backing Officer Morgan Music while reviewing the call record. Officer Music, who has had several prior interactions with Trevion Springer, recognized that none of the four individuals in the park were actually Springer. Knowing that an associate of Springer had access to his personal identification details, Officer Music cross-referenced associate records and booking photos, identifying the man in the park as Tyler Estep. A background check revealed that Estep currently has three active arrest warrants. Officers notified the primary investigating units, and a new warrant for Obstructing Official Business was submitted against Estep.
