CIRCLEVILLE

On August 17, 2017 at approximately 9:33 PM Sgt. Levi Freeman stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 200 block of East Main Street.  The vehicle had been under surveillance by Canine Officer Rob Morningstar and his partner Harry for suspected narcotic activity.  Upon a search of the vehicle by CPD officers who were assisted by probation officers from the Circleville Municipal Court Probation Department it was discovered to contain two pistols, over $800 in cash, suspected heroin and prescription pills.  The driver, Jeremy Coleman, and passenger, Michele Detty, were both arrested.  These arrests are credited to “good old fashioned police work” as well as working hand in hand with other agencies.

Coleman is charged with Trafficking in Drugs (F-2), Having Weapons While Under Disability (F-3), Improper Handling of a Firearms in a Motor Vehicle (F-4), Possession of Dangerous Drugs (F-5), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M-4).  Michele is charged with Possession of Drugs (F-2), Trafficking in Drugs (F-2) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M-4).  Both are held at the Pickaway County Jail pending their initial appearance in Circleville Municipal Court.
