Today’s the day! Wayne National Forest trails are now open to mountain biking, horseback riding, and off-highway vehicle riding for the season! And no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke.

Looking to get outside? Here are some of our most popular trails:

➤ Grab your mountain bike and visit the Baileys Trail System. With adventure around every turn, this mountain-bike optimized trail system sits at the heart of southeast Ohio’s Appalachian foothills. ➤ Ride your off-highway vehicle through the forest on the family-friendly Monday Creek Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System. This trail system features miles of motorized trails and several trailheads that provide access. ➤ Take your horse to the Lake Vesuvius Horseback Riding System. This trail system is a nationally recognized destination, drawing visitors from out of state who often travel hundreds of miles to traverse the scenic forests surrounding the popular Lake Vesuvius. Learn more:
