PICKAWAY – Police and Fire responded to a near miss accident when a vehicle went the wrong way down US23 at the Ross/Pickaway County line this morning around 9 am.

According to police report a Dodge Caravan was driving southbound on US23 when the passenger said the driver passed out and started to swerve into the median. The vehicle then crossed over into Northbound US23 traffic. The driver of a Honda Pilot who was heading Northbound on US23 saw the vehicle and swerved narrowly missing the Caravan. This caused the Pilot to go off the road on the right side where it struck a hill and spun several times, where it came to rest in the field.

No one was injured in the accident, and everyone was wearing seatbelts. Pickaway Sheriff Deputies, OSP, Pickaway Township, and Green Twp. were on the scene.
