UPDATE: Semi Driver Minor Injuries After Rollover Crash in Ross County

Chillicothe – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle commercial rollover crash that occurred near the interchange of US-23/US-35, in Scioto Township, Ross County, Ohio.


On July 8, 2021, at approximately 10:54 P.M., a 2022 Peterbilt semi, driven by Oumaru Sheriff, age 30, of Hamden, Connecticut, was traveling southbound on US-23/US-35 near milepost 13 before driving off the left side of the roadway into the median. Mr. Sheriff traveled into the northbound lanes before overturning and traveling off the east side of the roadway striking concrete barriers. US-23/US-35 northbound lanes were shut down for approximately five hours.


Mr. Sheriff was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center after sustaining minor injuries.


The Scioto Township Fire Department, Chillicothe EMS, Veteran Affairs Fire Department, Ross County EMA, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Box 65 assisted on scene.
