LUCASVILLE< MORGAN TOWNSHIP - On Sunday September 20, 2020 at 4:46 am the Portsmouth post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a call of an ATV crash on CR-136, Big Run road near milepost #2. The ATV was operated by Christopher R. Spencer, 39, of Lucasville, Ohio.
The ATV was traveling eastbound on Big Run road when it failed to negotiate a curve traveling off the left side of the roadway striking an embankment. The ATV overturned then traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a tree. The driver of the ATV succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The passenger of the ATV was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus Ohio with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
