Chillicothe – A man is in jail after a dangerous high-speed chase through downtown Chillicothe where he attempted to elude officers with his dangerous actions.

According to early reports, the chase started in the Southern Ave area and went down South Bridge Street where the man crossed over into oncoming traffic in his white Cadillac while driving at high speeds. He then turned down several downtown streets including 7th and finally came to rest on Knoles Ave after police successfully spiked his tires. A foot chase continued the chase where the suspect was arrested at gunpoint. During the search, a small amount of possible drugs were found on the man.

Thoughts of the man throwing something out of the window during the chase turned up empty when police went back to find possible evidence.

25-year-old Zachariah Douglas was arrested and charged with failure to comply, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Ross County Jail
