Truck Crashes into Downtown Bridge in Columbus Causing Traffic Delays

COLUMBUS – A truck crashed into a bridge around 7:30 am this morning causing significant delays in the morning commute.

According to law enforcement, around 7:30 am this morning part of I-70 was shut down after the box truck crashed into the bridge.

No injuries were reported, but the bridge had to be inspected to make sure it did not sustain structural damage.

I-70 eastbound was closed at State Route 315. I-71 northbound to I-70 eastbound was also closed.

Some parts still remain restricted in the area at the time of posting
