PICKAWAY – The Teays Valley Educational Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to Teays Valley High School science teacher Bob DeLong to purchase a set of 30 virtual reality goggles and iPods to be used by the science classes.
“The science department would like to thank the Educational Foundation for their generous donation that will help us purchase a classroom set of VR goggles for our students. The science classroom now has another tool to expand our students’ experiences by taking virtual tours of different ecological sites, the human heart or even the Large Hadron Collider,” DeLong said. “Any tool that we can use to expand the students’ experiences beyond the walls of Teays Valley is great for them. Thank you for helping our students.”
