Southern  Ohio braces for mixed weather this week

COLUMBUS, Ohio (February 26, 2024) – Central Ohio residents can expect a week of variable weather, with a mix of sunshine, rain, thunderstorms, and even a potential freeze later in the week.

Today: Monday will start off mostly sunny with a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit. However, there’s a chance of rain showers tonight starting around 4:00 AM and lasting until tomorrow morning.

Tuesday through Wednesday: Rain showers will continue throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, with potential thunderstorms. Highs will remain around 63 degrees Fahrenheit, but Tuesday night will see a significant drop in temperature, reaching a low of 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Wednesday night will be much colder, with a low around 24 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thursday: Thursday will bring a brief reprieve from the rain with a sunny forecast and a high of 43 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the night will remain chilly with a low of 27 degrees Fahrenheit.

Friday and Saturday: The weekend will see a return of cloudy skies. Friday will be slightly warmer with a high of 51 degrees Fahrenheit, while Saturday will see a slight rise in temperature with a high of 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Lows both nights will hover around 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
