CIRCLEVILLE – A man with passion for two wheels is asking for people to ride with him on what he calls his, “final ride.”

Dan Hunter a Vietnam vet told his family around five years ago that he was diagnosed with lung cancer, and over the years he’s fought hard against it. Since then his family and Hunter have had a long road and their lives have not been the same. Sadly that diagnosis has developed into stage four cancer and now Hunter has decided to forgo any more treatments and “ride it out,” and thats exactly what his family and friends intend to do.

His son Johnny Hunter says that his “pops” has a to-do list that he’s working on checking off, and an event he describes as his pops, “final ride” will happen during the take back the strip event on May 2rd.

Johnny asks that anyone with two wheels to come ride with him and his dad to honor a mans final ride, to help him check off his list and make something memorable.

Johnny says,”that his dad has always been passionate about his Harley and “wind therapy,” its one of his dreams to have a final ride, he is just trying to organize a ride to honor a wonderful man who raised him and served and defended his country during Vietnam. His aim is to get his pops a big smile during one of his last wishes.”

Lastly, I cannot thank all of you enough. This guy hasn’t had anything to look forward to in a very long time. He told me yesterday, he can barely sleep due to excitement to meet everyone and ride!. We have had interest from 10tv to cover the event and that’s because of all of the support we are receiving from all of you. With all this being said, I cannot wait to meet everyone and to make a memory that my Pops, myself, and our family will cherish forever!
