Ross County Finds Fishing Artifact from Prehistoric Era

Ross – An artifact has been uncovered in Ross county this week

This is a bone fishhook from the Late Prehistoric Period (1000 AD-1649 AD) which was found in Ross County. It is shaped like the letter J. and is polished to a point on the hook end with a groove at the opposite end for attaching a line.
