Nancy Helen Dixon, 77, of Kingston, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Signature Healthcare Nursing Home in Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
She was born in Chillicothe on Sept. 10, 1939, to the late Howard Taft and Marcella Virginia (Cunningham) Wiley.
On April 25, 1959, she married David Douglas Dixon, who survives.
Also surviving are their two daughters, Angela Sue Hupp of Kingston and Amy K. (Mark) Martens of Laurelville; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Morgan Hupp of Kingston and Savannah Virginia Martens of Laurelville; and also a nephew, Shawn Bayse of Chillicothe.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kay Bayse.
Nancy was a graduate of Centralia High School and worked at Dr. Su’s office in Chillicothe for 14 years.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association and an avid Relay For Life supporter. She also loved to go camping.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston, with Pastor Euggle Robertson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 24 S. Mulberry, Chillicothe, OH; or to a local Ross County Relay for Life group.
