Mary Ellen (Woodward) McKnight, 85, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016, at Riverside Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on April 12, 1930, the daughter of the late Dewey and Daisy (Beavers) Woodward.
On Nov. 21, 1948, she married her loving husband of nearly 67 years, Irl McKnight.
She is survived by sons, Terry (Pam) of Pensacola, Florida, and Ronald (Pam) of Kingston; daughter, Melinda (Ronnie) Mullins of Columbia, South Carolina; and sisters, Bertha Rittinger and June Sampsill, both of Circleville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, William; brother, William; and sister, Betty.
Mary enjoyed visits from her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She retired from General Electric Lamp Plant and was a member of the Presbyterian Church since 1941. She will be greatly missed!
Graveside memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Prairie View Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Sommers officiating.
