March 8:
– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of East Ohio Street. The scene checked OK.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Circleville Fast Freeze on Edison Avenue. The scene checked OK. Officers determined there was an animal inside.
– A caller in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported her 15-year-old daughter was refusing to go to school. Officers were unable to locate the juvenile at the address and confirmed she was actually at school.
– An officer made a stop with a vehicle hauling a homemade trailer at Auto Zone on West Mound Street. Fletcher’s Towing arrived on the scene, and the driver was cited.
– A caller reported a tent near the rear of General Electric on East Ohio Street near the tree line. Officers disposed of the item, and no report was taken.
– An employee of AEP Ohio requested an officer stand-by to shut off power at a residence in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. where she had recently been threatened. The stand-by was completed. Another stand-by was requested later that day because the employee had to return to the residence. That stand-by was also completed.
– Damond Willis was arrested by Grove City Police on a warrant from the Circleville Police Department. Officers met with Grove City officers at Route 665 and U.S. Route 23 for exchange of custody.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Second Baptist Church on West Mill Street. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a disabled semi truck backing up traffic on Lancaster Pike near the fairgrounds.
– A resident in the 400 block of East Main Street reported the utility line had been ripped from his house in the alley. The line was determined not a live wire, and the officer moved it off the garage.
– A resident in the 100 block of East Union Street reported items keep getting stolen from his yard. A report was taken on theft.
– A resident in the 100 block of Barry Drive reported she believed someone was in the attic. A report was taken.
– Officers performed a well-being check on a 3-year-old juvenile in the 300 block of East Franklin Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– A resident in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported there was a vicious dog on the loose. The dog warden took possession of the canine.
– Officers took a report on found property at the police station.
– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane requested an officer stand-by to retrieve her belongings from the residence. The stand-by was completed.
– Officers responded to reports of a vehicle fire at Northridge Road and North Pickaway Street.
– A resident in the 300 block of Pontious Lane reported vandalism. A report was taken on criminal damaging.
– A caller reported a four-wheeler was speeding up and down the alleyway in the 300 block of East Franklin Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
– An employee at Kroger reported there had been several attempted thefts from the store in the past half hour and requested an officer review video surveillance to help identify the subjects.
– Kevin Hughey was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of East Union Street after officers responded to reports of a male and female fighting at the residence.
– A caller reported a brush fire behind Elsea’s near the train tracks. Officers were unable to locate a fire.
– A caller reported someone was burning tires in the area of Clinton and Weldon streets. Officers determined they were not burning tires, but the fire was extinguished and the residents were advised.
– Robert B. Senn and James L. Griffin Jr. were arrested on McCulloch Avenue in Elsea’s Mobile Home Village after officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the area.
– Officers responded to reports of two male juveniles in an argument in the 400 block of North Scioto Street and one threatening to get a gun. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.
March 9:
– A warrant was served on Jesse Day by the Circleville Probation Department.
– The resource officer at Circleville City Schools requested a report on disorderly conduct.
– A caller reported a girl’s bicycle lying against the fence on church property in the 300 block of Nicholas Drive. The bicycle was determined to be trash, but the church members were going to see if they could repair it.
– Officers responded to a parking complaint at Dairy Queen on South Court Street.
– Christina M. McKinney was arrested for physical control and possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Court Street.
– A resident came to the police station to turn in a wallet that was thrown out of a vehicle on South Court Street at Huston Street. A report was taken on found property.
– An employee from Carnival Foods on Morris Road reported they had a shoplifter detained. A report was taken.
– An employee of the Pickaway County Health Department requested an officer stand-by while they served paperwork to an address in the 100 block of Cottage Hill Lane. The stand-by was completed.
– A resident in the 300 block of Northridge Road reported he had footage of a male subject going through change in his truck and walking around his home looking inside. The incident was documented.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the parking lot at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street.
– A resident in the 200 block of South Washington Street reported her money had been stolen. A report was taken on theft.
– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported she was being harassed. A report was taken.
– A resident in the 100 block of Cottage Hill Lane reported someone broke into her home while she was away. Officers determined there had been no burglary, and the incident was a civil issue.
– A resident in the 1300 block of South Street reported two children were riding their bikes near her vehicle and scratched the side of it.
– A resident in the 100 block of West Union Street reported she could hear screaming coming from the north side of her home. Officers were unable to locate anything in the area.
– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of Maplewood Avenue. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a dog had been barking non-stop all night in the area of Court and Mill streets. Officers were unable to locate the dog.
– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported her daughter was being threatened on Facebook by a known adult female.
March 10:
– An officer discovered a vehicle at Coughlin Automotive with front end damage and green and orange paint transfer. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office nor the Ohio State Highway Patrol had any information on hit-skip accidents, so the Ross County Sheriff’s Office would attempt to contact the registered owner at her residence.
– A caller reported a loose dog was following her around near Clinton Street, but it was not vicious or barking. The dog warden was notified.
– A resident in the 400 block of South Court Street reported it looked like someone tried drilling out the lock on her front door. She did not notice anything missing, and she believed her dogs scared the subject away. A report was taken on criminal damage.
– A resident in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported a known subject was causing problems with her and her neighbor. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.
– An employee at Berger Hospital reported a 15-year-old in the emergency room stating he had been assaulted at school that morning. A report was taken on the incident that occurred on March 7.
– A caller reported a vehicle that was all over the road driving eastbound on Route 56 West. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
– The resource officer at Circleville High School requested a report for a fight.
– An employee at Berger Hospital reported a known subject left the hospital with an IV in his arm and under the influence of pain medication. The subject was located.
– A resident in the 500 block of Nicholas Drive came to the police station to report a known subject had stolen her rings and pawned them. A report was taken on theft.
– A resident in the 100 block of East High Street reported finding a hypodermic needle in the street. Officers located and disposed of the item.
– A resident in the 800 block of Kingston Court called 911 twice to report his neighbors were threatening him and he couldn’t get to his house without the neighbors yelling at him. A report was taken on menacing.
– A caller reported the violation of a protection order by a known subject in the 400 block of Watt Street. A report was taken.
– Officers responded to an injury accident on South Pickaway Street at East Ohio Street.
– A caller reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the parking lot at Chase Bank on East Main Street. A report was taken.
– A caller reported she was involved in a minor accident at Donatos on Lancaster Pike.
– A caller reported her vehicle was struck while it was parked at Tuscan Table on North Court Street. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.
– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street reported someone was sleeping in a vehicle parked in the area. Officers determined the subject checked OK, and he was parked in front of his own residence.
– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 300 block of East Franklin Street regarding a female refusing to leave the residence. The subject left prior to the officer’s arrival, and the caller was advised to call back if she returned.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Gibby’s on West Main Street. The scene checked OK.
