Barbara Lee Barker, age 84, daughter of Howard and Helen (Kelley) Brinson, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 1, 2016.
She died peacefully in her home, and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Barker Sr.
She is survived by their children, Judy (Randy) Scott, Becky (Buzz) Barker, Cathy (Larry) Meadows, Tim (Luana) Barker, Thom (Sue) Barker and Peggy Seaburn. Barbara dearly loved and was loved by her children, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.
She was retired from a supervisory position with the Ohio State Department of Highway Taxation. Barbara was a devoted member of the Greenlawn Community Church, and a long-time volunteer at the Mt. Sterling Community Center.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, with funeral services celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, in the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, 331 W. Main St., Mt.Sterling. Pastors Thom Barker and Kenny Smith will be officiating with interment following the service at Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenlawn Community Church, 15003 Five Points Pike, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143; or the Mt. Sterling Community Center, 164 E. Main St., Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143.
