March 11

– An employee of the Launderette on Pontious Lane reported the alarm company advised her of an activated alarm, and when she arrived, she discovered the business had been broken into. A report was taken on breaking and entering.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Court Street reported someone threw a brick through the window of his car. A report was taken on criminal damage.

– A resident in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike reported hearing what sounded like three gunshots in the area. The officer advised another resident was working on his truck and it backfired several times. The scene checked OK.

– A Mount Vernon resident reported her credit card was misued at the Duke and Duchess station and Speedway businesses in Circleville. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller reported seeing an older male in a pickup truck in front of PNC Bank on East Main Street who appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle at PNC but later found it unoccupied in front of Mason’s Furniture on West Main Street.

– A resident came to the police station to report his wedding ring was either lost or stolen at the YMCA on Monday. A report was taken.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of South Pickaway and East Mill streets. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident came to the police station to turn over ammunition he found. A report was taken on found property.

– An employee of Little Bear Market reported a suspicious vehicle with two or three occupants in the parking lot of the business. Officers made contact, and the scene checked OK.

– A caller reported seeing two juveniles walking southbound on the railroad tracks near Hayward and throwing rocks at passing trains. The officer located the juveniles, and they checked OK.

– A resident came to the police station advising cash was missing from his apartment in the 700 block of South Court Street. No report was taken by request.

– A caller reported the driver of a pickup truck was swerving in the roadway in the area of Scioto and Mill streets while drinking a beer. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to an activated fire alarm in the 900 block of Lynwood Avenue, but the call was canceled when the resident advised it was an accidental activation.

– A resident in the 1000 block of Stoutsville Pike reported an unruly juvenile. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to reports from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office about an open 911 line with a male and female arguing in the background and someone claiming they had been assaulted in the area of Ohio Street and Kingston Pike. There was no answer on call back, but the caller was traced through call history. Officers located the subject on Walnut Street, and she advised she was OK.

– A property owner reported he had previously evicted a tenant in the 200 block of Huston Street, but there were now squatters at the residence. Officers made contact and determined one of three people at the property had mail at the residence with the address on it. The caller was advised he would have to evict that person as well.

– A 911 caller advised officers were just at his residence and told him his mother had passed away in a nursing home, but he didn’t know which nursing home she was in. The caller was located, and the scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of Walnut Street reported a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with the subjects, and they checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated panic alarm in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street. Officers determined it was an accidental activation, and the scene checked OK.

March 12

– A resident in the 200 block of Cedar Heights Road reported her dog ran out of her apartment and was struck and killed by a car that did not stop. A report was taken on a hit-skip accident.

– A resident in the 300 block of East High Street requested extra patrol due to someone siphoning her husband’s gas tank overnight.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported her son was being unruly because she would not allow him to drive. The juvenile left the residence but later returned, and an officer stopped to talk to him. A report was taken.

– A caller reported a female was driving a black SUV southbound on Kingston Pike, and a male passenger kept grabbing the steering wheel, almost causing an accident. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– An employee of Block’s Shoes on West Main Street came to the police station to report the receipt of a bad check that was written on a closed account. A report was taken.

– The school resource officer requested a report on assault at Everts Middle School.

– Jessica England, 25, of Northridge Road, was arrested for domestic violence after she called 911 to report she had been assaulted by a male who took their son without consent. The male was located and detained briefly but released. England later requested an officer stand by while she retrieved her vehicle and personal belongings from the resident. A report was taken on criminal damage.

– A Chillicothe resident reported she was granted custody of a 3-year-old whose mother had failed to comply and turn the child over. Officers received a copy of the court order and attempted to make contact with the mother on Timberline Drive but were unable to locate.

– A resident came to the police station to report her daughter had lied and used her address during a recent arrest. Information was obtained.

– Officers responded to an alarm activation in the 600 block of East Ohio Street. The scene checked OK.

– A McArthur resident reported he detained two dogs running loose in the 300 block of West Mound Street. The dog warden was notified and was responding to the scene.

– A resident came to the police station to report his vehicle had been damaged in the parking lot at Kroger on Lancaster Pike. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Washington Street reported receiving threatening voicemails on his answering machine. Officers determined no threats were made.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Ohio Street reported a known subject was harassing her. The officer advised it was content on social media.

– An employee at Kroger on Lancaster Pike reported two juveniles had been detained for shoplifting. A report was taken on theft and charges were filed.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Water Street reported several juveniles were playing basketball in the middle of the street at North Scioto and North Western Avenue and making excessive noise. The juveniles were located and advised not to play in the street.

– A resident in the 100 block of Rustic Drive reported a theft from his garage. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Ohio Street reported a van in the area occupied by several males playing loud music. The subjects were located and advised to turn the music down.
