Pickaway – A man with no real criminal background was found guilty this week in the brutal murder of two individuals
On October 20, 2023, Pickaway County Sheriff reported that two people were reported dead after neighbors at the Whispering Pines Mobile Homes in Orient Ohio reported that they saw two people inside a home that were not moving and called 911.
Deputies arrived on the scene a short time later and located two males deceased in a back bedroom. They had been killed with a knife and had multiple stab wounds. Craig T. Dewitt 58-year-old male from 10117 US Route 62 Lot 32 Orient, Ohio and Cory A. Moore 22-year-old male from 10117 US Route 62 Lot 22 Orient, Ohio were identified as the deceased.
On Wednesday morning just a few days after the crime, Marty Ray Dotson 44 was arrested and charged with two counts of Murder and one count of Kidnapping.
This week in Pickaway County Court Marty Ray Dotson 44 was found guilty of Murder, Voluntary Manslaughter and a PSI (Presentencing Investigation) has been ordered, Dotson will be held until his sentence is given.
