Pickaway – Around 2 pm Pickaway fire was called to the scene of a large fire in the woods in the area of US-23 and Huston street.

According to Pickaway Fire, the fire was located in a well-known homeless camp within the woods on the West side of US-23. When crews arrived they found a homemade structure had burned down. No one was around when they arrived. Fire crews used ladder 1 and extended it across the train tracks to put the fire out. This caused the department to close US-23 southbound and they stopped train traffic in the area for about an hour while the fire was contained.
