Pickaway County – EMA Director Releases Update to Emergency Weather Conditions

Pickaway – Pickaway County Emergency Management director Gary Cameron has released information on tonight and overnight conditions in the county

December 23, 2022 @ 3:00pm

High winds and dangerously frigid temperatures will continue through Sunday.

Pickaway County continues under a level 3 snow emergency. Several roadways are closed due to blowing and drifting snow; Matville Rd, Jackson Rd, Lockbourne Eastern Rd and Huber Hitler Rd.

The County EMA is tracking four (4) power outage areas:

Restoration times are only estimates. Weather conditions continue to challenge repair crews.

There are three (3) warming centers currently open:

Deer Creek Park Lodge – lobby (24 hours)
22300 State Park Rd 20

County Jail – lobby (24 hours)
600 Island Rd

Commercial Point Mens Club (until 12/23 8pm)
26 W Scioto St

Pickaway County residents without power overnight are encouraged to seek accommodations at a local hotel or the Deer Creek Park Lodge.
