LORAIN COUNTY – A female officer has been struck while on duty and has been flown by medical helicopter to a critical hospital.
According to OSP the trooper was helping to direct traffic around 7 pm tonight on Middle Ridge road near State Route 2 in Lorain County. According to witnesses a Kia Sportage ran through the intersection and hit the officer.
The officer was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Update: She is now in stable condition.
