North BLOOMFIELD – Trumbull County Sheriff said in a press release that they are currently looking for two men that escaped police after a slow chase in a Amish buggy on Sunday morning.

According to police around 1 am on Sunday September 15th, police saw two people believed to be Amish drinking while driving a buggy/horse in the roadway. When police attempted to stop the rolling unit at the intersection of Donley and Mahan Parker Road in North Bloomfield the two man jumped out of the buggy and fled police. Police lost track of the two men dressed in black in the woods.

Police also reported that the buggy and horse continued down the road and had to be stopped later.

Police then searched the buggy and found a open 12 pack and several empty beer cans inside, but what really shocked them was a working radio sound system.

The buggy was towed to the impound lot and the horse is being taken care of by local farmers until a owner comes forward.
